A message from Wareham’s Mayor

Helping others through these difficult times.

I am very honoured to be the new Mayor of this lovely town of Wareham – what a great place to live!

I know we are all going through a difficult time due to the Coronavirus pandemic: having to contend with the lockdown, ‘social distancing’, and wearing masks when going out and entering shops and other buildings.

However, so that our businesses can start to recover, Wareham needs us to shop locally after being closed for so long. I’ve noticed though that the residents of this town are doing exactly that, and I thank you all wholeheartedly.

We now need a vaccine to be found so life can start to return to normal, or as close to that as possible for everyone.

Anyway, onto another matter that means a lot to me.

Celebrate my birthday by donating to Shelter!

For my birthday this year, I’m asking for donations to Shelter. I’ve chosen this charity because their mission is an important one, and I hope that you’ll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me.

Every little bit will help me reach my goal!

Meanwhile, please stay safe and healthy, so we can all move forward to a better future!

Councillor Lucia Kirk, Wareham Town Mayor
